My work is a love story… with the people and culture of my homeland, with the style and energy of my adopted home, and with an industry that embraces beauty, art, and fashion in all its many forms. 

Born and raised in Ecuador, I have lived in the United States since 1984. I have worked as a Hair Stylist and Makeup Artist in New York City since 1992, and since 1995 have split my time between editorial work in New York and as a Master Colorist, Hair Designer and Image Consultant at my exclusive Private Studio in Morristown, New Jersey.

 I work with carefully selected hair products that celebrates beauty and respect for the environment. My signature makeup line, JC Cosmetics, is sold exclusively in my salon, and was developed to work with all skin types and to be used in conjunction with other well-known and respected brands. 

My Fashion Editorial work, done from my shared studio in Chelsea in NYC, has allowed me to contribute my talents as a Hairstylist, Makeup Artist, and Beauty Director, to be featured in high-end magazines and short film. Please view work on my Instagram feed.

By surrounding myself with others that share the same level of passion for the beauty industry, and by keeping my style seasonal and fresh, I continue to offer my clients fashion-forward styles that define and enhance each individual. 

Keeping current with the latest trends and most modern techniques, I continue to be inspired through coaching and nurturing teams of upcoming Hair and Makeup Artists at my salon, at local schools, and through private and group class instruction.
